Infrastructure Universe, Vol. 7: Essential Update for AutoCAD 2018 & Tools for Civil 3D

Greetings from the Infrastructure Universe! Over the last few weeks, Autodesk has released a few important updates for various programs. I also have some exciting new tools and interesting videos to share with you this month.

Important Software Updates

Anyone using AutoCAD 2018, any AutoCAD 2018 vertical product, or AutoCAD LT 2018 needs to have the AutoCAD 2018.0.2 update installed by June 1, 2017 for their software to continue working. See our post from last week for more information about the update and installation instructions.

AutoCAD 2017.1.2

Released May 22, 2017

This update fixes problems reported with the Customer Error Reporting Utility in addition to general updates and a few new features.

NOTE: Updates to AutoCAD are separate and independent of the updates for AutoCAD-based vertical products. You will need to install the AutoCAD update in addition to any applicable update for your vertical products. Use the Autodesk Desktop App to download and install these updates.

AutoCAD 2016.0.10

Released Apr. 28, 2017

This update fixes some important issues, such as sheet set publishing to PDF, elliptical arc display when plotting while shaded, publishing with borders on A size paper, and more.

Revit 2017.2.1

Released Apr. 27, 2017

This update contains an update to the FBX SDK and provides several security improvements related to processing FBX, DAE, 3DS, and DXF format files. It also addresses issues reported directly to Autodesk and contains the fixes included in previous Autodesk Revit 2017 patches.
