Little Known CAD Commands That Rock, Part 5

Each month in the Little Known CAD Commands That Rock series, I highlight some underused commands that I think have some pretty cool uses. Last month I talked about BCOUNT, SNAPANG, using M2P, and EXTRIM. In Part 5 of this series, I am going to discuss a few more commands and settings that I think can be useful in all AutoCAD-based software.

Command #15: Divide and Measure

The first commands that I will discuss are DIVIDE and MEASURE. If you have been using AutoCAD for a while, you are probably fully aware of these commands. If not, check out the video below where I show how to use them, what their differences are, and settings to keep in mind when using them.

Command #16: CLIPIT

The next command I will discuss is the CLIPIT command. This is a little different than other clipping commands because it works for images, xrefs, blocks, and even wipeouts. It allows for a polyline, circle, or arc to be used as the cutting edge. Check out the video below to see how to use this command.
