BIM9 supplies private BIM cloud for Revit Technology Conference

Las Vegas, NV, June 8th, 2012 – BIM9, the leading developer of private BIM cloud solutions the Building Design and Construction industry, announced today that it will be providing a private BIM cloud (PBC) to the Revit Technology Conference (RTC) for use in one of the training labs at the RTC 2012 North America event. The RTC North America 2012 conference will be held in Stone Mountain, Georgia on June 28th – 30th 2012 at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort. As a Gold Hardware Sponsor, the BIM9 PBC will be driving 20 training laptops from just 4 i7 based PBC systems. This showcase environment great example of how PBC’s allow clients to maximize their hardware investment by upgrading multiple users’ desktop performance with one hardware purchase. “With this same configuration in your office,” says Bill Debevc, Technical Manager of Collaboration Services for BIM9, “you could effectively upgrade the power of 20 existing desktop or laptop systems with the purchase of only 4 workstation class systems. At RTC, the PBC will support a classroom configuration, but in reality, users could effectively access the PBC from any location on any device connected to the internet, even an iPad.”

As the Building Design and Construction industry expands its use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, the need to access BIM information remotely is not only growing, but is now often a requirement. BIM9 pioneered the use of private BIM clouds to allow secure access to BIM data from anywhere, at anytime, on virtually any device with an internet connection.

BIM9 leverages technology from top vendors to create turnkey installations of private BIM clouds that work seamlessly on any network. In addition, The team at BIM9 offer consulting services that work closely with your IT staff and existing hardware / software vendors to develop the best private BIM cloud solution to meet your needs. BIM9 can even teach you how to configure and deploy your own private BIM clouds, then manage them to ensure that your BIM software runs at its best.

“We are very pleased to be part of the Revit Technology Conference and are excited to deploy our PBC solution in a classroom setting,” said Lonnie Cumpton, Business Development Manager for BIM9. “This adds another layer to how private BIM clouds can be used to support the Design and Construction industry. Although most of our deployments to date have been in office settings, the use of PBCs to support classroom environments was one of our first development efforts. I’m excited for the attendees at RTC to experience this first-hand.”
