Integrating Navisworks and BIM 360: Taking Advantage of Full Model Coordination
Wednesday, October 28 @ 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM PDT
BIM 360 Model Coordination is an incredible tool that comes complete with automatic clashing, intelligent clash tracking, intuitive viewing and navigation tools. However, utilizing BIM 360 Model Coordination in the past meant either missing out on some of the robust toolsets available in Navisworks or separating the workflow of more complex clashes from the rest of the model coordination process.
Those limitations are a thing of the past. With the new BIM 360 Integration for Navisworks, Coordination Managers can seamlessly utilize the power of automatic clashing for simple trade versus trade coordination while still having access to the robust tools from Navisworks for more complex clash tests.
Webinar attendees will learn
• An introduction to BIM 360 Model Coordination
• Coordination Space and Model Setup for better results
• BIM 360/Navisworks Integration and workflow
• How to track clashes using BIM 360 Issues
Join us as we explore the workflows between Model Coordination and Navisworks, as well as how to best leverage the power of both tools for better clash tracking, and easier communication between teams – register today.
About the presenters
Sunny Watts found a passion for design in high school while learning about Interior Design and Web Building. She discovered Computer-Aided Drafting while pursuing her degree in Interior Design at LDS Business College. After graduation, she continued to pursue her education in drafting and design which lead her to BIM, and a career using Revit for electrical engineering. After a short break to teach English in Taiwan, Sunny joined a team to develop virtual design methods for electrical construction, discovering different ways to leverage building information from construction models.
Sunny has a passion for learning new things and loves to share that passion as an Autodesk Authorized Trainer, as well as in her everyday life. She has been a presenter, as well as a virtual presenter at the national Autodesk University conference and is a published contributor for the AUGIWorld Magazine.
Chandel Ninmann’s career in construction began in the General Contractor realm with modeling lift drawings for structural concrete. This expanded to projects involving structural steel and architectural elements. During this time, she worked on many large projects, including multiple buildings on a college campus, a hospital and clinic complex, a university music hall, and an NBA arena.
Throughout her experience, Ms. Ninmann has taken advantage of the opportunity to master many emerging technologies in the construction industry. This opportunity has transformed a love of “putting things together” from puzzles and crafting to creating shop drawings and producing 3D models for buildings of all sizes.
